Where can I find good maps?
I'm a "noob" and totally useless at this game but I'm having fun just running around exploring different places. I wonder if there is a site that has maps with the routes marked out for how to get from place to place? Like right now I've gotten to the Temple of Ages but I can't find Beetletun and some other towns I know are there somewhere because I have seen maps with the towns marked. But I try to get there and run into some mountains that I can't cross or poisonous swamps or what have you.
Just need some routes. Any help? Thanks! |

Yeah, just type whatever zone you are in into the wiki and it should pop up with it's personal page on the wiki and a map of the zone.
Also, something that makes all the fog translucent is texmod. Useful for navigation and cartography if you choose to do it later.

Also, when you run quests and is not sure of the route, type in the quest name into the guildwars wiki and it will have the quest walk through and the route you should take to get there

When I was doing cartography title I used to type 'Gw Maps' into google, then select images, there used to be (still are, just checked, had to type Gw Tyria map, for uhm, Tyria) some massive resolution ones that had all places unlocked, they don't show you how to get there but give you a good idea how to
http://pctechie.net/guildwars/images...WtyriaEotn.jpg Those parts you mentioned are very long winded, you usually have to run about 20 miles to get to something thats 2 metres away on the map Last edited by Zebideedee; Oct 30, 2010 at 09:14 AM // 09:14.. |

There aren't any red-dot maps for general travel in most cases. The wiki has a number of small maps showing red-dot routes for individual quests and missions, but I don't think any of those will help, since there are no quests leading you to Beetletun. The map for The Hot Springs Murders quest is the closest you will get, since all you need to do is head west from where that quest begins.
You can't go directly to Beetletun from ToA because there is no portal directly between Black Curtain and either of the two areas connected to Beetletun (Nebo Terrace and Watchtower Coast). You would have to go back to Cursed Lands, through there to Nebo Terrace, then north, then west. It would be shorter and easier to start from Bergen Hot Springs, if you stopped there on the way to ToA, or from LA. Beetletun is almost directly west of the portal between N. Kryta Province and Nebo Terrace. Another alternative is to do the D'Alessio Seaboard mission, which transports you to the Divinity Coast outpost at the end. From Divinity Coast, work your way east through Watchtower Coast. |

Wow thanks for the advice! I did find some good maps of the areas even if they were not with the red dots. Just like in real life i get lost a lot! But I'll eventually find my way around! BTW I was in Lion's Arch for Halloween and played rock paper scissors with the mad king. I lost. Fun!
